Ashvem beach is part of Arambol in north Goa. It was discovered like much of the region by the hippies. Ashvem is a self-declared topless beach and its wooden shacks are popular with backpackers.

Serious partying begins at hotspots on the Christmas Eve and continues till January. There is action both in night and day. The other must check-out spot is Banyan Tree where the DJ spins psychedelic music for the swaying bodies.

The best time to visit is from September to March for pleasant weather. If you like rains then Monsoon magic is for you.

There are several resorts and hotels in the vicinity of the beach. Most travelers prefer Cidade de Goa Beach Resort or Taj Exotica Goa.
