Vagator & Chapora Beach
Vagator & Chapora Beach
Vagator's beaches are small and rocky but they are one of the prettiest and most interesting parts of North Goa's coastline. It is nestled under a canopy of dense coconut palms. You will be enchanted with soft white sands, green vegetation and sea with aquamarine or emerald shades caressing the beach.
The village of Chapora is dominated by a rocky hill on the top. You are sure to find traditionally attired fishermen throwing nets in the sea. Here a magnificent Old Portuguese fort overlooks the sea.
You can find secluded, sandy coves all the way around the northern side of the rocky terrain.
There are numerous small restaurants along the main street of Chapora village but the beat eating joints are in Vagator.Vagator is the centre of Goa's party scene as well as several established bars and clubs. Raves are still organized at places like Disco Valley and Spaghetti Beach.
